物理學之源B:原子、分子和光學物理學包括研究原子、離子、分子和團簇，以及它們的結構和與粒子、光子或場的相互作用。該雜志還發表了涉及光譜學、量子光學和非線性光學、激光物理、天體物理、等離子體物理、化學物理、光學冷卻和俘獲以及其他研究對象為過程的基本原子、離子或分子性質的研究方面的文章。

ournal of Physics B: Atomic, Molecular and Optical Physics covers the study of atoms, ions, molecules and clusters, and their structure and interactions with particles, photons or fields. The journal also publishes articles dealing with those aspects of spectroscopy, quantum optics and non-linear optics, laser physics, astrophysics, plasma physics, chemical physics, optical cooling and trapping and other investigations where the objects of study are the elementary atomic, ionic or molecular properties of processes.
