《激素與行為》雜志發(fā)表了一系列有關(guān)激素影響的行為系統(tǒng)的原創(chuàng)文章。文章的范圍從激素行為關(guān)系的進化意義的研究延伸到有關(guān)激素作用于與行為有關(guān)的組織的細胞和分子機制的研究。使用行為作為一個主要的依賴或自變量并不是必要的，盡管這樣的研究仍然受到歡迎。

Hormones and Behavior publishes a broad range of original articles concerned with behavioral systems that are known to be hormonally influenced. The range of articles extends from studies of the evolutionary significance of hormone?behavior relations to those concerned with cellular and molecular mechanisms of hormonal actions on tissues relevant to behavior. The use of behavior as a major dependent or independent variable is not essential, although such studies continue to be welcomed in the journal.
