Digestive Surgeryí answers the complete information needs of surgeons concerned with diseases of the alimentary tract. Interdisciplinary in scope, the journal keeps the specialist aware of advances in all fields contributing to improvements in the diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal disease. Particular emphasis is given to articles which report and evaluate recent developments, including results of basic research and technical innovations, such as new endoscopic and laparoscopic procedures. Each contribution is carefully aligned with the needs of digestive surgeons.
