最早的科學雙盲同行評議論文發表在《科學學報》上，涵蓋了園藝科學的主要方面。它涉及基礎和應用研究，包括選定的形態學、解剖學、生理學、遺傳學和育種、種植、營養、園藝植物保護以及評價園藝作物的質量等學科。這些問題都可以歸結為以下幾個方面:園藝植物的形態學、解剖學和生理學現代園藝植物育種、栽培和營養系統個體遺傳和遺傳因素決定園藝作物的數量和質量。栽培條件和環境因素對園藝產品化學成分和生化性能的影響園藝產品的保健功能園藝作物貯藏對其生物活性成分及其代謝產物的穩定性和生物活性的影響與園藝生產有關的經濟方面任何學科在園藝生產和其質量之間的接口
