礦石地質學評論的目的是使所有地球科學家熟悉與礦床研究和尋找有關的許多相互聯系的學科的最新進展。這些評論從簡短到篇幅較長不等，但《華爾街日報》更傾向于出版手稿，填補通常較短的期刊文章和全面的圖書封面之間的空白，因此對許多作者和讀者具有特殊的吸引力。

Ore Geology Reviews aims to familiarize all earth scientists with recent advances in a number of interconnected disciplines related to the study of, and search for, ore deposits. The reviews range from brief to longer contributions, but the journal preferentially publishes manuscripts that fill the niche between the commonly shorter journal articles and the comprehensive book coverages, and thus has a special appeal to many authors and readers.
